ctrlX CORE I Workshop

This is a hands on workshop intended for Rexroth (employees/partners) application engineers.

Areas to be covered:

ctrlX CORE hardware overview
ctrlX CORE system overview
Web interface and app installation
ctrlX WORKS software suite
EtherCAT master for drives and I/O
ctrlX DRIVE integration
ctrlX MOTION axes configuration
ctrlX PLC programming
Data Layer and communication interfaces
Diagnostics
Backup/restore
Node Red
REST API

DAY 1 : 8:30am-5:00pm lunch will be provided
DAY 2 : 8:30am-5:00pm lunch will be provided
DAY 3 : 8:30am-12:00pm

The class size is limited to 9 participants.

This workshop is free of charge (a $1000 savings) for Rexroth partners.

Prerequisites

*Prerequisite: Please conduct the eLearning module "ctrlX CORE I-EN" prior to attending this workshop.

In this eLearning you will get an overview of the potentials and possibilities of the industrical controller ctrlX CORE. You will get an overview of the hardware and learn different ways to create a ctrlX COREvirtual or to connect to a ctrlX CORE. You will also learn how to install apps, change parameters in the ctrlX Data Layer, and transfer app data between a virtual and real ctrlX CORE.

After completing the eLearning module, you will have gained fundamental knowledge in ctrlX I/O Engineering and ctrlX PLC Engineering, enabling you to commission a small machine. You will understand the relationship between ctrlX Data Layer, ctrlX I/O Engineering and ctrlX PLC Engineering within ctrlX AUTOMATION. At the end of the eLearning module, you will independently create a PLC program using a ctrlX COREvirtual or existing hardware.

ctrlX OS - OPC UA-EN

After completing the eLearning module, you will have gained fundamental knowledge of the OPC Unified Architecture and be able to configure the ctrlX OS apps OPC UA Server, OPC UA Client and OPC UA Pub/Sub. You will understand the functionality of OPC UA Client-Server and Pub/Sub, enabling you to select the appropriate connection method for your specific application. At the end of each section, you will apply your knowledge in practical parts and establish an OPC UA Client-Server connection.

ctrlX AUTOMATION SDK I-EN

In the eLearning course "SDK I" you will get familiar with the theoretical basics of the software architecture of ctrlX AUTOMATION, as well as the basics of app programming. You will get to know different ways, how to set up an app build environment. You also will know how to build a snap.
